Apple aired an ad on 60 Minutes last night confirming the iPhone’s release date as June 29.

Engadget got word from a source yesterday before the ad aired that the commercial would feature the June 29 date.

Finally you can be relieved of at least half the iPhone rumors that have been floating around the web for months. Plus you can now plan out your schedule to squeeze in the 6 days you’ll be waiting in line to get your iPhone.

iPhone’s multi-touch screen is impressive, but check out this video of a non-touch “touchscreen” prototype.

You can forget about smears and smudges on your iPhone screen if Apple adds this technology to future iPhones.

Of course Apple has no plans to incorporate non-touch screens into the iPhone, but it’s an interesting idea nevertheless.

This video reveals the “additional details that viewers might have missed” in the Macworld 2007 iPhone keynote. Interesting stuff. Thanks, Rishabh, for pointing me to it.
