Believe it or not, I had to drive back to the Apple Store today to exchange my new iPhone for another.

The phone I originally purchased had something loose in the USB port that brought it out of charge mode with even the slightest movement of the USB cable.

I was the first person to go back to the Apple Store to report an iPhone problem, they told me, so the issue may be a rare occurrence.

The problem is, since I activated the first iPhone, activating this second one is proving to be a major hassle.

I’m back from the Apple Store, updating from my new 8 gig iPhone! I’m loving it overall, but it does have some downsides (fortunately, most can be corrected via firmware updates).

Stay tuned for a full review with photos and a feature-by-feature breakdown of the iPhone (complete with pros and cons).

Tomorrow morning I’ll head over to the AT&T store to try to get my hands on an Apple iPhone. If I’m so lucky, I’ll be posting about my initial experience with the iPhone on this blog.

So tell me what burning iPhone questions you are dying to know the answers to and I will try to address them in my review.

Launch Line

Lots of people plan to camp out in front of Apple and AT&T stores. Arriving the night before may or may not be necessary, depending on the location of the store and the quantity of iPhones available.

The first line of iPhone campers was formed yesterday in front of Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue Apple Store by Greg, a single retiree who marked his territory more than four days before the iPhone’s arrival.

Gizmodo interviewed Greg, who said he is a single retiree, so he’s got plenty of time to sit and wait for the iPhone.

He holds up a sign letting passersby know of his early arrival and asking for donations for food and Metro cards.

Greg was first spotted by Vicarious Music.
