Two key feature missing in Kindle for iPhone that make it usable for me:

1. Lack of font choices. I hate serif fonts. I use Verdana in all my ereaders.

2. The text color is too gray in black background mode.

Until these weaknesses are fixed I will ebooks from B&N or Fictionwise.

I like my Kindle for iphone app very much, I’ve been reading on it for months.. but I just ordered an actual Kindle as well.
two reasons..
1. The backlit iPhone screen. I love it of course, but i stare at computers all day and this is more strain on the eyes.
2. The battery life on my iPhone. The kindle app is just another thing on the phone to drain the battery. Since I’m a heavy iPhone user, I’d rather not run it down reading when I’m on the train.

I agree with you Chris! The land scape mode would be appropriate for most of the readers out there. I mean, all those who sleep off with a book in their hands at night will want this feature. Moreover, copy paste is a must too. I also agree with the search feature suggestion. You have put down your thoughts well in this case:)
